• Accreditation – launching the new kite mark in CSR The ‘leaf’ standard

  • The standardisation for Corporate Social Responsibility in Pakistan is to be formally launched in 2014 during the 8th Annual CSR Awards and Café CSR.

    The Standard targets small and large organizations, profit and non-profit, in developing and developed countries. The Association strongly encourages Pakistani companies and other organizations to align their operations and practices with the guidance provided in it.

    The new standard on social responsibility is a voluntary guidance standard with level Three Leaf focused on seven principles of social responsibility: 1. accountability,
    2. transparency,
    3. ethical behaviour,
    4. stakeholder interests,
    5. rule of law,
    6. international norms of behaviour, and
    7. human rights

    applied to seven core subject areas:
    1. organizational governance,
    2. human rights,
    3. labour practices,
    4. environment,
    5. fair operating practices,
    6. consumers,
    7. community involvement and development.

    Level One launch at the 8th CSR Awards in June 2014

    One ‘leaf’ certification will be provided to companies that can demonstrate a commitment to CSR or the responsible Business Agenda. Our Team will be on hand with a qualifying criteria matrix during the Café CSR, if your company meets the criteria, it can walk away with a level one ‘Leaf’ certification that recognises your company as a responsible business.

    The Company may download the ‘leaf’ logo to use on its stationary and email signatures, indicating its commitment as a responsible organisation to its stakeholders.

    We will ensure that all of our staff are trained to the highest standards of international best practice and are fully aware of their professional responsibilities in conducting their work. We will conduct assignments as a team and will continuously look for ways to improve the services we provide.
    We will continually review and improve our systems in the light of new developments in best practice as an ongoing process.
    We will not engage in any dialogue or pressure which attempts to exert an influence, settle a score or spread rumours, on behalf of or against anyone whosoever, inside or outside any organisation or company under review.
    We have so far received no complaints from any group in respect of our approach, conduct or research and we commit to responding to any such queries quickly and clearly if they arise

We will engage with other stakeholders wherever possible, to ensure that their legitimate interests are given consideration in the information we collect and use We will endeavour to ensure that all information provided by our services is substantial and substantiated so that our clients can be confident that our work can be used without the need to double-check its validity.
    We will endeavour to ensure full traceability of information and sources collected for our assessments, whilst at the same time protecting the confidentiality of any information deemed sensitive by those who provide it.

    Information Protection

    We acknowledge that the information we provide may be of a sensitive nature and we affirm that we have designed our assessment processes to be consistent with emerging best practice in analysis and quality control.

    We are currently developing a system with our stakeholders to ensure that our data collection and assessment processes will be subjected to a separate evaluation process.
