• Background

  • Welcome to the 8th edition of the National CSR Excellence Awards owned and hosted by the CSR Association of Pakistan – back in 2014 bigger, smarter and suave. This year is all about collaboration and smart alliances. In fact this year we’ve teamed up with UN Global Compact, integrating their 2013 Awards programme with ours presenting the winners on the night with us.

    What’s all the fuss about?

The CSR Awards Program recognises and honours Pakistani companies for outstanding, innovative and world-class products, services, projects and programs in categories. These projects demonstrate the company's leadership, sincerity and on-going commitment in incorporating ethical values, compliance with legal requirements, respect for individuals, involvement in communities and protection of the environment into the way they do business.

There is much to be gained in sharing experiences and replicating ideas whether you work for a global corporation or a family owned business. That's why we make sure that our awards live beyond the awards ceremony.

This Year’s mini Summit – tagged ‘café csr’ is integrated with the Awards Gala Dinner and is billed as the 1st Forum that brings Thought Leaders and CSR Practitioners together on one single platform. This is not a ‘show & tell’ of csr activities or development sector projects, but more of a planned engagement between the Private sector, here in Pakistan and the Humanitarian sector.
Alhamdulillah, following last year’s feedback, we are now paving the way for an annual event of this scale where the Private Sector and Development Agencies engage in meaningful dialogue and real time action that work towards helping the children & communities of Pakistan.

These Awards, the 8th Cycle, actually doesn’t only just shine a light on the people and projects who are helping businesses do better and be better, but brings people together to share best practice and create shared value.

Whilst through the awards we're looking for initiatives that come from a range of places. And past winners have been companies that have aimed at solving a specific community problems, others have been from companies that are realising that integrating responsible business practices & sustainability now makes sense. The Summit allows multiple stakeholder touch points, replicating ideas whether you work for a global corporation or a small social enterprise. In fact, our awards live beyond the awards ceremony with year-long coverage of the leadership our participants demonstrate.

We’ve seen how there’s great capacity for great innovation and the ability to move sinuously through alliances and that’s why we always find these awards such a delight to put together and judge.
